Centenary Celebration Week

Wednesday 10th June

All parents and grandparents of current pupils were invited to attend a school "open day". Visitors were given a guided tour of the school by P6 and P7 pupils and had the opportunity to view pupils' work and displays on the Centenary. Classes also presented short performances in the gym hall throughout the day.

Open times : 9.15am - 10.15am; 11.00am - 12noon; 1.30pm - 2.30pm

Friday 12th June - Centenary Day

West Linton School extended an open invitation to everyone interested (including members of the local community, grandparents, ex-pupils and ex-staff) in visiting the school on a "working" school day. As on the Wednesday, visitors had the opportunity to have a guided tour of the school and view pupils' work, displays and performances.

Open times : 9.15am - 10.15am; 11.00am - 12noon; 1.30pm - 2.30pm

Saturday 13th June

The School Centenary Group and West Linton Historical Association hosted a unique exhibition of "photographs through the years", mementoes, memorabilia etc. The exhibition opened at 10am and ended at 1pm to tie in with the Pipe Band leaving from the school to march down to the Whipman Sports Day in the afternoon.

The Pipe Band had a new tune composed to commemorate the Centenary and this was played for the very first time at the exhibition.
