Walking in the West Linton Area
There are many short walks around West Linton and many quaint corners to be discovered. On your way you might like to stop for a snack, or a meal, and for either of these West Linton offers a wide choice. Visitors might also like to try the sporting facilities available locally, which include golf, tennis, bowls and pony trekking. There are numerous Rights of Way in the area giving access through fine walking country.

The West Linton Area Tourist Group have published a number of leaflets on specific walks:

1) West Linton Village Walk

2) Historic Walk to Dolphinton

3) Local Industrial Heritage

4) Lynedale Walk

5) Prehistoric Walk to West Linton

Please follow www.pathnetwork.org.uk for information on the North Tweeddale Local Paths Network, and www.pathnetwork.org.uk/walkingfestival/ for information on the Festival of Walking 2002.
